A special Adult Saturday workshop with Tess Paton
By taking a close look at nature explore the association between rhythm and pattern with the formation of growth. By producing the raw materials necessary from recycled newspaper, learn how to make free flowing skeletal structures which recognises the interplay between geometric sculpture and architectural space. The beauty Tess’ practice stems from simplicity, which attracts the involvement of all ages and walks of life. Newspaper is used as a medium to convey the importance of recycling and emphasise the endurance and resilience of nature, whilst expressing fragility of form. Participants will learn how to roll newspaper and apply it to create beautiful sculptures.
Course Dates: Saturday 8 July 2017. 10am-3pm.
