We’ve decided to start organisng a series of short 2hr taster sessions throughout the year which allows you to try before you commit to a longer or more expensive course.
In April we are running a whole day of taster sessions meaning you can come to a morning, an afternoon, or stay all day. Choose between four different and exciting workshops.
This session is perfect for anyone with an interest in jewellery. Sharon Justice, who leads the Monday and Tuesday night jewellery classes, will be doing a short 2hr introduction to PMC, or Precious Metal Clay.
Course Details: PMC is a metal clay-like medium which can be used to make jewellery, beads and small jewellery components. It consists of very small particles of precious metals mixed with an organic binder and water. Metal clay can be shaped just like any soft clay, by hand or using moulds/tools. After drying, it can be fired in a variety of ways, this process burns away the binder, leaving the pure, sintered metal.
In this workshop Sharon will be giving participants the opportunity to work with copper clay.
Course Date: Saturday 29 April . 10am-12noon
