About Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop is the founder and director of creative brand Kroma which represents Kate’s identity as a freelance designer.

The brand focuses on surface design and products for the home and office as well as women’s fashion.

Kate founded Kroma in 2013 whilst in her final year of studying Illustration at The Arts University Bournemouth.

Kate’s love for colour is shown within her creative practice as well as the simplicity of a shape or object. Combining the two results in a modern explosion with a hint of nostalgia. Kate’s inspiration comes from a variety of sources including her surroundings, fashion trends, raw materials and found objects. Kate’s passion to be involved within the Arts after graduating lead to her being awarded a year’s studio sponsorship at Making Space as a resident artist. Since then, kate has continued to grow her business as well as run creative workshops for all ages. Kate’s workshops focus mainly on illustration, paper collage and screen printing. Collaboration is also something that Kate is very keen to push further within her work.
