About Nora Fok
Nora Fok is an artist maker of jewellery specializing in nylon monofilament. Her work has sculptural qualities as well as being suitable jewellery pieces for the female body.
She uses traditional hand craft techniques of knitting, knotting, weaving and looping to construct her pieces.
Orginally from Hong Kong, Nora studied Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics at Brighton Polytechnic in the late seventies. She is interested in using uncommon materials for her jewellery and has been developing techniques for nylon monofilament for over thirty years. Lately she began to work with 3-D printing, flax and linen for which she blends fibres with nylon for a new body of work called “Project Linlon”.
