GETTING TO MAKING SPACE & PARKING

Making Space is located on Bishopstoke Road, just round the corner from the Leigh Park Community Centre on Dunsbury Way. We are on the same road as the entrance to the Greywell Shopping Centre.

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The nearest train station is Havant. The nearest bus stop is on Dunsbury Way (1 minute walk). The number 23 bus arrives every 10 minutes from Portsmouth via Havant.

    PARKING

There is a pay & display car park at the end of Bishopstoke Road. There is also a car park situated behind the Making Space building. (Drive past Making Space on your right, turn right at the mini roundabout, then right again into the car park.)

Please note that you need a permit to park here Mon – Fri 8.30-6pm but it is FREE on a Saturday & Sunday (but not Bank Holiday Mondays). If you are coming for a meeting you can ask us to provide a visitor permit; unfortunately we can’t arrange these for daytime course participants.

Please see the link for Google Map or download our directions here.

    ACCESS

Making Space is able to accommodate all visitors to our workshops & facilities. There are parking bays for disabled people situated both in front and behind the centre. The whole building is on one level and there is an accessible toilet equipped with an emergency alarm. Making Space also has a portable induction loop.

    VISUAL STORY

We appreciate that for those with additional needs, such as our Reach our Participants, can have anxiety about visiting a new venue. With that in mind we commissioned a Visual Story of Making Space. Made by one of our associate makers and a Reach Out Participant we hope this helps you feel more relaxed about visiting Making Space. Please click here to view our Visual Story. For more information please get in touch.
