An event every month that begins at 19:00 on day Second of the month, repeating until September 10, 2024

Craft Community is a brand new project for adults looking for a regular creative activity to attend. Taking place once a month on the second Tuesday of the month from June 2023 through to September 2024. The sessions are part of the Let’s Create Leigh Park project funded by Arts Council England. The project will be lead by Tanya and Bethany Wood (aka Wood & Daughters).
Sessions cost £5 each but we have a reduced rate of £3 a session for any Leigh Park residents.

08 August – Mark Making and Doodles
Introducing mark making and doodling. Discover how these humble techniques can be used to start drawing, designing and can be an artwork in their own right. Start a sketchbook, make a
doodlet or fill a page the choice is yours.
12 September – Buttons – functional and decorative
Raid your button box and learn how many different ways you can sew on a button from functional to decorative. Use these techniques to create wonderful embellished textiles.
10 October – Basic Crochet
We will be teaching basic crochet. A great skill for those keeping their hands busy. We will be making crocheted brooches and/ or beaded crochet necklaces.
14 November – Collage
We will be exploring collage to create simple, eye catching greeting cards for the festive season and beyond. Collage is a great way to make lots of designs, so you will soon have a bundle
ready to send.
12 December – Festive Felt
Get ready for Christmas and special events by making decorations with felt. Learn applique, decorative stitching with all the trimmings for many occasions.
