Reach Out is a series of SEN craft workshops for children and young people with additional needs who cannot access mainstream activities.
Join us during Spring Half Term with jeweller Sharon Justice for 2 exciting jewellery based workshops, come along for one or both sessions and combine your creations together.
May Half Term | Monday 30 May
10am – 12noon: Copper Clay – A clay material used to make pendants, letters or decorative beads. Once fired in an electric kiln it’ll be more than 99.5% pure copper.
1pm – 3pm: Metal Pendants – Use a hand saw, rolling mill and letter stamps to shape, texture & personalise a unique metal pendant / tag that you’ve designed.
£24 total / £12 a session | 10am-1pm / 1pm-3pm
Reach Out workshops are exclusively for Hampshire young people who have a Gateway Card. All existing previous Gateway Card holders need to have applied for a new one in order to come to these sessions. If you’d like to apply for a new Gateway card please click here to find out more about how to apply.
Participants may stay all day. Alternatively you may select either the morning session (10am-12noon) or afternoon session (1pm-3pm). Participants will be limited to just 6 people per session.
In order to support your child during these workshops we do require some additional information which you have the opportunity to provide at the time of booking. Alternatively please call / email Making Space on 023 9247 2491 / admin@makingspace.org. If you are a newcomer, a project partner, Jo Halsall will be in touch to discuss your child’s needs.
