Weekly Pottery Course

Our weekly courses offer a fantastic opportunity for makers of all levels of ability to learn brand new skills and develop existing ones.

Courses can be booked in 5-week blocks, or you can save £70 by booking two 5-week blocks! (Discount applied in Shopping Cart)

Our Weekly Pottery Course runs on Monday mornings, evenings and Tuesday mornings.

Monday mornings have a focus on decorative finishes for ceramics. Students will create ceramic forms and will learn the different ways to put the finishing touches to their work.

Monday evening and Tuesday morning are a broad introduction to the essential techniques and skills involved in working with different types of clay.

Class Dates:

Monday Mornings 10am-12pm:
Block 1: September 18th, 25th, October 2nd, 9th, 16th
Block 2: October 30th, November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th

Monday Evenings 7-9pm:
Block 1: September 18th, 25th, October 2nd, 9th, 16th
Block 2: October 30th, November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th

Tuesday Mornings 10am-12pm:
Block 1: September 19th, 26th, October 3rd, 10th, 17th
Block 2: October 31st, November 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

Description:
Learn the basic techniques including throwing, coiling and slabbing, so that you can gain a foundation of skills that can lead to creation of your own pieces.

For the more experienced ceramicist wanting to expand their skills, our tutor will support you with individual tuition as required but also give you the freedom to pursue your own projects.

What’s Included:
Each 5-week course includes all tools, equipment and firings. A starter pack of clay is also included and additional clay can be purchased as required from the tutor.
