Thursday 20 February 2020
10am-12noon / 1pm-3pm
This listing is for a February half term workshop. Participants can come for a morning session or an afternoon session but we recommend staying all day and doing both! 🙂
The day will be led by Ami Hyde and Peter Levy.
We have planned a colourful day for you!
In the morning you will work with Ami and use fimo modelling clay to create badges and key rings! Ami will show you how to marble the colourful clay and create rings of colour for fancy flay key rings and badges! The designs will need to be cooked in an oven to ‘set’… instructions will be given to parents if it can’t be done during the day. Please bring a tupperware pot with you to safely take your items home with you.
In the Afternoon you’ll be experimenting with animation clay. This special clay doesn’t dry so it’s great for animation. Work with Pete and sculpt crazy figures and characters… Dinosaurs or monsters, animals or zombies, trains or aliens…. what will you make? We recommend downloading a simple stop motion app on your phone or device. Bring it with you and have some fun bringing your figure to life at the end of the workshop. We can suggest apps if you need help or we will also have an app downloaded on our tablet for people to use! Take your creation home and carry on the fun at home!
During Lunch we will head to The Hub cafe in Leigh Park so please bring some money with you to get some yummy lunch there or bring along a packed lunch!
