COURSE DESCRIPTION | Weekend Masterclass – Playing with Colour, with Kas Williams
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th December 2021
10am – 4.-30pm each day.
A weekend workshop aimed at practicing artists who are open to an experimental way of making with a loose approach to their work. With the emphasis on enjoyment and play we’ll be working in an expressive way that allows for your work to develop organically and offer its own surprises along the way. Using a mixture of materials this will allow you to create a unique piece of work through playful approaches to the layering of colour, marks and shapes.
Day 1. Kas will create an exuberant still life as a starting point for you to respond to and develop your work in a loose and immediate way with a range of materials to create layered collages.
Day 2. You will build on the experience of Day 1 to develop your work through the medium of heat transfer. Using specialist transfer dyes you will create your own framed mini-abstract on crepe de chine or taffeta to take away with you.
