Making Space are delighted to be launching another inspiring new training project, but this time in Winchester. Craft in our Community – Winchester will work with two professional makers and will train people working in the communtiy sector/for local charities in a range of creative activities which they can then take back and share within their own organisation or group.
The project is designed for people working in groups that directly benefit the local community of Winchester: Age UK, The Guides / Scouts, Youth groups, respite centres, care homes, youth charities, dementia groups, Disability charities etc.
All of the sessions will take place in The Atrium at The Theatre Royal, 21-23 Jewry Street, Winchester, SO23 8SB. This project is completely free to book onto thanks to generous funding from Winchester City Council.
The sessions are as follows. Please note; you are able to book onto all the sessions to ensure you have the best experience possible, or pick and choose the ones that appeal most to you.
1 February | 10am-12noon Paper Craft / 1pm-3pm Felt
8 February | 10am-12noon Clay / 1pm-3pm Macrame
15 February | 10am-12noon No-Sew Applique / 1pm-3pm Mindful Stitching
22 February | 10am-12noon Print Making / 1pm-3pm Glazing
All the sessions take place on Thursdays and there are 2 different sessions a day, each with a capacity of 10. There will be a morning session from 10am-12noon, and an afternoon session from 1pm-3pm. You can either bring a packed lunch with you or pop out for the hour lunch break.
