These exclusive evenings are a relaxed and inpiring chance to get to know our makers better and find out more about their career, creative practice and expertise. Enjoy an informative talk in conversation with one of our team and the featured Maker, a demonstration and a chance to have a go. There will also be welcome drinks and nibbles available.
Our Next Meet The Maker Event: Richard Walker - Date TBC
Richard Walker studied gilding at the University of Portsmouth. He has now been gilding for twenty years and teaching for fifteen.
He has developed a global reputation to top artists, framers, furniture designers, interior designers and museums, where he is renowned for creating new and interesting ways of gilding surfaces in traditional and modern methods.
He teaches at various colleges and centres of excellence around the world, including Dubai, USA and Europe. During this event Richard will demonstrate various ways of gilding including glass and oil gilding!
